The Environmental Science learning community will address the science and ethics of climate change, sustainability, the protection of endangered species, understanding our vulnerability to natural hazards, and the moral value and standing of nature. Students will gain an understanding of the scientific principles and processes at play, while exploring the roles of individuals and society in resource use, ecological and environmental problems, living with natural hazards, and the role and ethical limits of cost-benefit analysis.
