First Gen- Telling Our Stories 

(ALL Majors designed for first-generation students)

Welcome to BSC! The First Gen community provides an opportunity for focused support to students who are first in their family to go to college (meaning that their parents did not earn bachelor’s degree). Our diverse group of faculty, staff, students, are also the first in their families to go to college! They will help you learn how to NAV1GATE college life, both inside and outside the classroom focusing on-campus resources, and student involvement. This community will also use cultural wealth as a framework to look at different stories to help build inclusion.  Students will create and share their own stories and vision maps through different experiential learning activities.
