At Buffalo State, the learning community program consists of linked courses across one academic year. A cohort of approximately twenty-five students take two linked courses in the fall semester, and linked to one spring semester course.
In true liberal arts fashion, each faculty will demonstrate how his or her course reflects the theme and connects to learning in the other courses. Students must take all three courses, over the academic year together, classes may fulfill the college's Intellectual Foundations (general education) requirements.
All first-year student can participate in the Linked Bengal Community program and is available to both resident and commuter students.
