Susan Mary Paige is an undergraduate alumnus of Buffalo State in Human Development, Family, and Community Relations. Her work in the early childhood education field included participation in the founding of the Buffalo State campus day care, a community day care center, a child care resource and referral agency in the Mohawk Valley (NY), and the early childhood program at Fulton Montgomery Community College. She also has 12 years of experience in the private sector as an office manager, traffic coordinator, inside sales, and conducting product seminars. She earned her PhD in Early Childhood/Elementary Education at the University of Buffalo and she has been a faculty member at Buffalo State since 1999. Dr. Paige has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses for the Exceptional Education Department and undergraduate courses for the University College. Her published research includes focuses on (a) special education instructional methods and pre-service teachers, (b) online college education, and (c) the first year college experience. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for The Literacy Empowerment Action Plan and engages in church activities.
