Daniel Blum is a lecturer in University College and the Department of History and Social Studies Education. With a specialty in Medieval European history concentrating on English thought, Mr. Blum regularly teaches classes in Western Civilization from the ancient world to the 20th century. Also, Mr. Blum is attentive to the unique needs of first year students and offers an important transitional course at Buffalo State College, Mastering the Academic Environment (UNC 100). This will be the fourth year that Mr. Blum has taught in a Learning Community and he believes that the experience is invaluable for students to experience one another in a deeper, more meaningful manner; to have a more integrated academic experience; and for students to know their professors in a more profound mode than will occur in a traditional first year experience.
