Amy D. Rockwell is a reference and instruction librarian and the Coordinator of Disability Access Services at E. H. Butler Library. She has worked as a librarian at the SUNY libraries of the University at Buffalo and SUNY Fredonia, and in the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library system before coming to Buffalo State in 1986. Former positions she has held at Butler Library include head of the Microforms Department and the Curriculum Materials Lab, and Assessment Librarian. Graduating with honors, Ms. Rockwell holds a bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Fredonia (1982), and master’s degrees in Library and Information Science (1985), and Rehabilitation Counseling (1995), both from the University at Buffalo. She teaches in Butler’s course-related library instruction program and has been involved in the college’s Learning Communities, either as a faculty member teaching library research or as Library Liaison, since 2005. She is a liaison to Veterans Services on campus, and as a library liaison to academic departments has provided research and editorial assistance to faculty on several scholarly publications. She is active in library and campus committees, and is a certified member of the college’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
